NetNewsWire 2.0 Released

I’m not generally given to blogging about software updates, but this one is big—not only because NetNewsWire 2.0 is so much better than 1.0.8 that it could just as easily have skipped straight to version 3, but also because I’ve been on board as a beta tester and have keenly followed NNW’s progress.

Believe me, NNW is not Safari RSS on steroids. NNW is an incredibly full-featured aggregator that is more than up to the task of managing your subscriptions. Safari RSS is little more than a convenient way to peruse a site’s RSS feed without having to subscribe to it.

And stay tuned. Brent’s got more ideas up his sleeve, admitting that there are many things syndication (in general—not just NNW) is capable of that people don’t even realize.

Rock on, Brent. NNW 2 is worthy of many awards and accolades.
