Get Out, Eh!

Some of you may have noticed that I was rather silent about the whole presidential election. The reason for this is that I never really thought of anything to talk about that hasn’t been said at least a hundred times.

However, what I have been seeing the past few days bothers me greatly. Apparently, some people in this country feel that the political process is somehow flawed to allow the majority of the people to vote for Bush. Once again, as in the 2000 election, there are people talking about moving to Canada to get away from a country led by Bush.

This is one of the most idiotic ideas I’ve ever heard of. I have to question the maturity level of a person essentially saying, “I’m taking my ball and leaving!” If you hate our political process that much, then I say good riddance. Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

I joked about moving to Canada, but it was just that, a joke. I know a lot of people who are really anti-Bush, but the majority of them are more motivated than anything else… Bush’s election is a catalyst for a lot of people to get really involved in the political process.
