NetNewsWire 2.0 Public Beta
At last, the new NetNewsWire is out in the open!
I’ve been on the alpha testing team for a little more than a month. While it was public knowledge that NNW 2.0 was coming, mum was the word on details about the new version, as was any mention whatsoever of MarsEdit, the brand-new weblog editor that replaces the built-in weblog editor of NNW 1.x. But not to worry, MarsEdit integrates very well with NNW and is outrageously supurb in comparison to the prior editor—which was totally great in its own right!
I won’t waste time spelling out all that’s new with these two apps (which can be purchased individually or as a discounted bundle—and there’s also a free lite version of NNW) since Brent Simmons has already done so. Just take it from me that if you use Mac OS X and you subscribe to any number—big or small—of newsfeeds, you should check out NetNewsWire. Also, if you edit your own weblog, you must at least try the 30-day demo of MarsEdit. You’ll be hooked, for sure!

Too bad there isn’t a crossgrade for ecto users. MarsEdit looks tempting. Thanks for the tip!
