Reports of My Abandonment Have Been Greatly Exaggerated

Yeah, I’m well aware I’ve not posted anything in a while. I suppose I’ve just not felt like I’ve had much to write about, not to mention that I’ve been pretty busy with work—even was out of town most of last week for annual meetings.

This holiday weekend is turning out a little weird. I drove to my cousin’s house for Thanksgiving day and returned home the same evening. This weekend, I have to finish writing two ATPM reviews plus try to finish up editing a handful of video programs that were recorded over the past two months. So this holiday isn’t feeling a whole lot like a holiday. Compounding the weirdness is that in spite of temps in the 40s the past couple weeks (even some very light snow flurries a few nights ago), we’re now warming up again. It’s supposed to get up to the 80s next week! So I’m still wearing shorts—in late November—and have too much to do to go out and enjoy the weather. I’d spend a few minutes in a pool if I had one (that’s one of the few things I miss about the apartments I moved from last year).

Hopefully, I’ll be able to get enough of my work at the office wrapped up to take a significant amount of vacation time in addition to the regular Christmas holiday time.
