Famous Names In Spamming
You know, it occurs to me that the world could probably rid itself of nearly half its overall spam if any legitimate e-mail server administrator simply refused to act further on any message that included “george scaife” or “patricia dankert” within any portion of the e-mail. And if you are actually unfortunate enough to be named George Scaife or Patricia Dankert, no offense, but it’s time to face facts. The spamming community has stolen your names. I sure know that I would investigate what it would take to change my last name if my name started turning up in the subject lines of spam on a regular basis.
