DST Today, Gone Tomorrow

A large number of people have an equally large number of reasons they like autumn. One of my favorite moments is tonight—gaining an extra hour of sleep!

That small little moment of joy, however, is going to be fooled with a little bit next year. In case you hadn’t heard, Daylight Saving Time (and yes, it’s “Saving” and not “Savings”) is broadening out in 2007. It’ll start the second Sunday of March and end the first Sunday of November, adding about a month’s worth of additional DST.

Now think about how this will affect computerized equipment. My job is going to be hell next year.
