Culinary Quirks

I have a sporadic (as opposed to regular) ritual in my kitchen. I’m weird, I know.

One of the staple items I keep because I hate cooking and like to keep food that is simple to prepare is whole wheat bread and deli turkey slices—the good stuff, not the Oscar Mayer crap. And for those who care, things like Progresso soup with various meats and veggies, Marie Callender dinners, and various flavor packages of Lipton noodles with things like cans of peas and carrots to throw in for good measure—all among my staples.

Anyway, when I prepare the aforementioned sandwiches, you can pretty much bet good money that I’ll pull out five slices of bread. Four for two sandwiches and one to nibble one while making the sandwiches!

Whenever I make the little phisch a ham and cheese or grilled cheese sandwich, I always have a slice of cheese on a slice of bread, folded in half. Always.

There are certain things I eat every day and never seem to tire of them. Two light non-fat yougurts and a salad are every day; usually, one apple and one banana; and either frozen spinach or brussel sprouts.
