Is Image Capture’s Rotate Feature Broken?

Before I upgraded my computers to Tiger, I distinctly remember being able to use the rotate functions in Image Capture which would provide lossless rotation of my shots as I imported them off the card. (My camera, a Nikon D100, does not have an automatic orientation sensor.) Now, I still see the rotated images inside Image Capture, but they’re still sideways after I import them. What happened?

For some reason I seem to remember something about fixing this in one of the recent Tiger updates, but I can’t find mention of it anywhere.
