Myths That Do Not Thrill Us
I’m quickly becoming a MythBusters addict. Those of you who have me on your IM buddy list already know that I frequently set my status message to Adam Savage’s popular quote, “I reject your reality and substitute my own.” I will own a t-shirt with this quotation on it one day soon—and it will not be someone’s version with their own logo also printed on the shirt!
A new episode aired tonight in which Adam and Jamie find out how enormous a raft has to be to lift a human when the raft is filled with helium. Near the end of the show, Adam takes in a lung-full of helium and confesses, “Once, in every generation, a myth comes along that does not thrill us. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!”
But trust me, you must hear him say it!
For a very long time, I couldn’t stop backing up the DVR and playing it over and over.
P.S. - while I promise you it’s not the primary reason I’m a big fan of the show, it absolutely doesn’t hurt that Kari Byron is hot!
