Alternative Publishing Choices

If you were following the Macworld Expo keynote, you’re aware that many of the new things announced rely heavily on having a .Mac subscription. Sorry, Steve, but I’m already paying for a hosting service.

So my ponderance is: how long will it be before someone figures out some way to capture the pages that, for example, iWeb creates and lets you put them where you want instead of straight to the .Mac server.

I’m kind of curious how many more people might give .Mac a try if only they could use a custom domain instead of the normal .Mac-based username URL.
