A Cold Day In Hell, er, the Office

I’m not an air conditioning expert. I realize there are various factors that affect how an office is cooled or heated. You can’t just set a temperature. You’ve got to have a temperature low and high, a humidity low and high, and how much of a window to use to keep the unit from turning on and off rapidly around the set points. I’m sure there are more factors, but these are the main ones that I know about.

That said, when it’s 40 degrees outside, I would expect the air conditioning should not be running at full blast constantly for 2 days. If this were the first time it was happening in my office, I would dismiss it as a broken controller. However, this will happen once every month or two—get “fixed,” work for a while, then do it again. I don’t mind wearing sweaters, but if the a**holes in charge of this system do not get it fixed soon, I’m going to freeze to death. Thank God for my space heater.
