Terrorism-induced Price Gouging
This IotM award goes to every cotton-pickin gas station that would have us believe that just because someone blows up a subway car and a bus in London, they are justified in jacking up the price of a gallon of gas 20 cents. Where do I report such asinine activity?
This, of course, means my drive back home from St. Louis on Sunday is probably gonna cost me a few bucks more.

Yes, there is that, and I’m extremely sympathetic towards that. There’s nothing worse than the lives that were lost. Nontheless, my rant was toward the suits who fix the gas prices and was, in no way, directed toward innocent people who were affected.

The problem here is not lack of sympathy. All Americans are keenly aware of the tragedy of losing loved ones to terrorism. The problem here is that the world gets gouged by companies that take advantage of the tragedies. These companies represent and encourage the scum of the Earth and should be treated as such.

king’s X (aka cross), effected by the attack, is the direct station i have taken loads of times from london north-eastwardly. the russell street station is the british museum stop. the british library, now moved to st. pancras, is just blocks away. if i had gone this summer, this would have been the time, those would have been the stops. thursday’s event was shocking on many levels, but especially to one who has lived over there and has taken those trains and busses so many times. it was only by chance that i was not there at this time. very sorry about the gas prices; can’t do anything about those. but a lot of lives were lost and people injured.
