Beeper Back, Too
The e-mail address associated with sending SMS messages to my phone hasn’t been working the past several days. Granted, it seldom gets used, but the few times it is used, it’s generally important.
Turns out, the 10-digit-number@mobile.att.net syntax gave way to 1+10-digit-number@mmode.com. Also, whenever I migrate to a standard Cingular plan, it’ll become 10-digit-number@cingularme.com.
Nice of them to tell me (not!).
Even nicer that the rep I talked to was only in the ballpark of the correct address and it was actually me who guessed the proper address based on the rep’s incorrect attempts.
In any case, those of you who know about my pager address know that I don’t use the ATT/mMode/Cingular syntax anyway, rather an alias on my domain. Thus, you can keep using that alias. I’ve fixed it.
