Stupid Lawsuits #149823

What’s that you say? My $18,000 car doesn’t have that GPS feature to keep me from getting lost (and, consequently, carjacked) that my freind’s $50,000 car has? I’m suing the manufacturer of my car!

Yes, the story below is just that ridiculous. Think about it, people, if you’re paying for an internet telephony service and not paying taxes to Ma Bell (taxes which pay for 911 service), why would you automatically expect to reap the benefits of 911 service?

It’s still pretty stupid that the VoIP provider doesn’t have some kind of emergency service, though.

‘not paying taxes to Ma Bell (taxes which pay for 911 service)’ - why aren’t your real taxes paying for this?

Chance are, they ARE paying taxes for the 911 service with the phone. Doesn’t the government require that now on all cell phones?

Whoops, I see my mistake. VoIP. I have Vonage, they route my 911 calls to the emergency dispatch center which can handle your 911 calls.

you don’t pay for it you don’t get it.
Why do all these people think that government, or someone else owes them something. Are we all a bunch of cattle that need to be taken care of? Let’s start a new idea. Stand up, pull your own weight and evolve into “real humans with real reasoning capabilities”
