Search by Filetype

Google just keeps getting better and better. Chris just pointed me to a tidbit revealing you can now include the filetype extension of a filename as part of your search.

Of course, you already knew you could punch in phone numbers, math calculations, package tracking numbers, ad nauseam.

I don’t remember when I first started using that, but it has been very helpful. I also like that you can limit your search to a domain. Google often provides better search results for a given site than the site does for itself.

Yeah. When I officially ended the dtpbylee.com blog, I stripped out all the MovableType engine and just left the static pages. If I need to find something on it, I just Google site:dtpbylee.com foo, and recommend other visitors do the same.
