Too Cool for Internet Explorer

Friday, November 26, 2004

My parents, aunt, uncle, and I spent a few hours of the nation’s busiest shopping day at the International Plaza mall. It was crowded, sure, but not painfully so. The afternoon would have been relatively uneventful except for the fact that, during the trip, my uncle and I spotted Terry “Hulk” Hogan and some friends meandering around. He didn’t seem to mind that he was being recognized and occasionally approached, though I was rather intrigued that most people simply looked with that “wow, cool” sort of acknowledgment then went on with their business. My apologies—I know good and well that I now have a phone with a camera in it, but I’m having a rough time getting it to sink into my brain to use it. I’m not used to having a camera phone yet. By the time I snapped-to and thought to pull the phone out of my pocket, he was still visible, but too far away for the camera to pick him out.
