The View From Here

Okay, new information from Evological—they discovered that the plug-in which should’ve kept the camera image from freezing after several minutes doesn’t actually work. So I guess we’ll find out if preview release number 2 fixes it, but no clue yet when it’ll be out.

Forget it. I can’t get the thing to not freeze the video picture after 10-15 minutes.

It’s horribly unexciting, but I have set up a webcam to let you see what the conditions are like here. This camera is located within Tiffany Oaks Apartments near the intersection of Interstate 4 and State Road 436 in Altamonte Springs, Seminole County, Florida.

I’ve been noticing that my camera has been freezing up after a while of use. Not sure yet if it’s due to a bad camera, bad cable, bad softare, or bad internal hardware. I’ll try my best to keep watch and reset the camera if it keeps happening.

And, of course, if nothing comes up at all, it’s likely that I have lost power. It doesn’t appear, however, that winds will be as strong as they were during Hurricane Charley. With luck, my power will remain on throughout the weekend.
