I Really Hate Hurricanes
Jeanne, you suck!
Well, as expected, I lost power about 4 hours ago this morning—a little before 7am. The wind had died down a little bit, but now that I’m awake again and looking outside, things have picked up again. Apparently, the storm took even more of a southerly track, so Seminole County isn’t getting quite the slam that we might have gotten. Not sure, though. Obviously I haven’t seen the news yet.
This, however, will probably be the last storm during which I’ll be able to still be online briefly while the power it out. As you probably read earlier on this blog, the land line will be gone by Tuesday. No biggie. It’ll still be worth the $40/month savings. Seriously! That’s nearly $500 a year! I can buy something with that kind of money!
Anyway, back on topic, Raena pointed me to someone’s blog entry that contains the now-famous “we are here” graphic. I link to it not because of the image, but because of her description of we’ve been seeing on television for more than a month now. “Hurricane porn.” Yeah, that’s about right.
Jon’s also got a great entry, listing four terms he never wants to hear again.
Neither do I, Jon. Neither do I.
