A Message To Those Who Place Furniture In Hotel Rooms
- If you place a desk in a room, chances are, many times, someone is going to use a computer on it. Make sure there’s an available power outlet near the desk location.
- Also regarding desks—perhaps whomever designs the furniture layout should be required to actually do some work at the desk they’ve placed for about 10-15 minutes. Maybe then we’d have chairs that place you at a more appropriate height to use the desk, and we wouldn’t have so many desks right up against the A/C unit. (Yes, the right side of my body feels like it’s 20 degrees colder than the left side right now!)

As a person who travels a lot, I can sympathize with you. I should point out, however, that many nicer hotels seem to be better about that kind of stuff, but overall, I’ve never found a hotel that handles it well.
