A Message To Those Who Place Furniture In Hotel Rooms

  1. If you place a desk in a room, chances are, many times, someone is going to use a computer on it. Make sure there’s an available power outlet near the desk location.
  2. Also regarding desks—perhaps whomever designs the furniture layout should be required to actually do some work at the desk they’ve placed for about 10-15 minutes. Maybe then we’d have chairs that place you at a more appropriate height to use the desk, and we wouldn’t have so many desks right up against the A/C unit. (Yes, the right side of my body feels like it’s 20 degrees colder than the left side right now!)

As a person who travels a lot, I can sympathize with you. I should point out, however, that many nicer hotels seem to be better about that kind of stuff, but overall, I’ve never found a hotel that handles it well.
