Photo Album Upgrade

I’ve been rather busy this evening. I just finished upgrading my photo albums to the latest version of Gallery and they look sweet.

New features:

You can now vote/rate the photos to tell other visitors (or just me) which ones you like best. This has been set up for all the albums, so if you remember a shot you loved from a while back, I hope you’re able to get back there and indicate your enjoyment.

You can now view all the comments posted in an album. Before, you’d have to pay attention for the tiny little red asterisk after a comment. Besides the summary page, that little asterisk has now been replaced by a “last comment on xyz date” message.

I frequently discovered friends who were only seeing the thumbnails that appear when you first load an album, and they wished they could’ve looked at some of the pictures bigger. You always could do this just by clicking the thumbnail, but now, choices of pixel dimensions (medium and large, if available) appear below each photo.

Last—and absolutely not least—is that the entire album is now syndicated. If you have an RSS reader, you can simply subscribe to the album’s feed and you’ll be among the first to know when I’ve added new photos!
