Get Info Window Can Play .m3u Playlists
Hey Mac users, ever download a sample of audio that comes down as an .m3u playlist file that you have to double click and play in iTunes, then remove the item from your iTunes library when you’re done (assuming you only wanted to hear the sample that one time)?
If you hadn’t noticed before, you can just do a Get Info on the file and the preview section will connect and stream the audio file. Neat!
A possible caveat, sometimes after I clicked the little play button, it turned into a circular arrow like it was waiting to buffer, but never played. Clicking it to stop and clicking again to play worked each time. Only once did it play after the first click. Of course, depending on what site you’re streaming from, Your Mileage May Vary.™
