Do You Like George Michael?

Several news sites far and wide are reporting that George Michael will be offering his music online for free. He says he now has all the wealth he could possibly want, and doesn’t not really enjoy the celebrity fame.

What’s not clear to me is exactly what music will be available. Initially I thought all his past music would be available, but I can’t find confirmation. It actually makes sense that it wouldn’t because all of it is probably tied up with record labels who aren’t going to let George have a chance in hell at giving it away.

The album he’s working on now, though, will be available free, but I read on one site that this is his last album. The same site also reports George stating that all his future music will be free. Confusing. Even worse is that another site said the current album will be his last “commercially promoted” album.

If you have more info about this, please share.

If I’m not mistaken, Public Enemy doesn’t really have a problem with people downloading their music, and plenty of their more recent stuff has been released online.
